#30 Newsletter (Yay!)
Favorite Fried Fish (Say it Three Times Really Fast), Tantalizing Tomatoes, Summer Songs and More
Hi. It’s hard for me to believe we’re already at newsletter #30. It’s true. How’s your summer going? I know there’s a lot going on and I hope you are taking the time to take care of yourself. I’m trying to do that. I admit it’s hard to do. I take breaks to read and walk. Not together. Ha.
I’ve been hanging out in the kitchen making some cozy and comforting meals, like chicken and dumplings. I’m making pudding and lemon mousse. I try to balance it with lettuce wraps. Ha. I’ll be back to share those recipes here.
I’m playing a lot of music, which relaxes me and helps keep me in a positive mood.
This newsletter, I’ve got a little bit of music, some tomatoes (trust me- sliced tomatoes are the side) and my favorite fried fish.
Thank you for reading. Happy 4th to you.
p.s. A friend sent me this photo from Glacier National Park. Gorgeous. My friend is out west on a two week visit which includes Montana, Wyoming and Idaho.

Beachy Spray
I’m all about a summery body spray (remember- Cucumber Melon from last week’s newsletter?) This is Brazilian Crush by Sol de Janeiro. It smells like summer— think vanilla and sun tan lotion. You can spritz it in your hair or all over. It lingers more than other body sprays, which is a good thing. A small bottle is $20 and a large is $35. It lasts a long time. It took me a while to go through the larger bottle. I am currently out, but I need to repurchase this ASAP. I don’t own a lot of perfumes or body sprays. I prefer to have a few on hand.
Everytime I spritz this it really reminds me of the beach/ocean.
Songs of Summer
I’ve had a serious crush on Brazil for years. I’ve never been, but I love Brazilian music and I’ve enjoyed a few Caipirinhas (the national drink of Brazil- if you love limes and sugar, try it).
I purchased Bebel Gilberto’s album Tanto Tempo back in 2000 (!) and I still love it. It’s dreamy and makes me think of the ocean. Most of the songs are in Portuguese and this is one of my faves.
This may be in the top 5 of my go-to summer songs. I can listen to it over and over. I think it’s also a perfect convertible song. OK, I need the convertible.
