A Classic Perfume, Top 10 Harrison Ford movies (my list), Longmire, Toast Tongs (!) and Feinstein's at Hotel Carmichael
Hi there. I took a break from the newsletter and I’m back. I started this newsletter with the intention of publishing every Wednesday and sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn’t. I’m getting back on track to publishing every week and I hope every Wednesday.
p.s. I’m writing for some magazines and wanted to share a few articles with you.
It was a pleasure to interview Samuelle Leerkamp for the August issue of North Indy Magazine (formerly Broad Ripple Magazine). Samuelle is a 12-year-old equestrian who lives in the Indy area. She is a competitive horse jumper and is winning lots of ribbons. She’s one to watch.
School is starting and here are some important tips for parents. (Noblesville Magazine, August, 2022)
Top 10 Harrison Ford movies (in my humble opinion)
Harrison Ford’s birthday was on July 13 (80 years young) and I thought it would be fun to rank his top 10 movies. This is my list so feel to agree/disagree and leave me a comment with your thoughts.
1. Witness (1985) I call this a perfect film. An Amish boy witnesses a murder and Harrison Ford is the detective assigned to the case.
2. The Fugitive (1993) As far as action films, it doesn’t get any better than this film starring Ford as Dr. Richard Kimble and Tommy Lee Jones. I’ll watch any action movies set in Chicago.
3. Working Girl (1988) Harrison Ford is an action star, but he can do romantic comedies and he’s funny and sexy in this Mike Nichols comedy.
4. Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) Before Jurrasic Park and other action movies, there was the Raiders series. The original is the best.
5. Patriot Games (1992) I’ve never read the books, but this is my go-to Jack Ryan film. I love movies about the CIA and this doesn’t disappoint.
