Hello. Happy Thanksgiving. This Thanksgiving will be low key. There will be food (of course!), holiday music, holiday movies and maybe even a glass of wine with a slice of pumpkin pie.
Happy Thanksgiving to you! A-
p.s. Here’s an article I wrote for St. Matthews Magazine (Louisville, KY) You can read the article here and scroll to page 20. The article also appeared in some magazines in Indiana and Kentucky.
There are some fun ideas like going out to brunch this weekend and shopping at small businesses. I hope you get a chance to read the article. I’ve included a few screenshots of it.
What are you going to eat when you get tired of turkey leftovers?
Sometimes I like a slice of pizza and some salad. Are you with me? And, I really enjoy an elevated slice of pizza and a salad with extra flair. This is when you want to splurge a little. As I mention below, one pizza easily feeds a few people.
Napolese
Napolese pizza is gourmet, artisan pizza. The dough, sauce and toppings are all top notch. A pizza at Napolese is more expensive than most pizza places, but you are paying for the quality. I think one pizza easily serves a few people. I also enjoy their salads. The chopped salad also serves a few people. It’s filled with lettuce, pancetta, pepperoni, chickpeas and gorgonzola.
Hamaker’s Corner pizza and House Chopped Salad
p.s. This is one of their signature pizzas. You can custom order and make and substitutions if needed.
p.s. I always ask for extra dressing.
Pumpkin Ricotta Cheesecake
This cheesecake was exactly the right amount of sweet. I love a good ricotta cheesecake. Don’t you?
